Lifetime giving Featured for the second year was the Lifetime Giving Recognition Program, recognizing supporters with accumulative giving of $25,000 or more since the organization's inception in 1980. Those recognized as Lifetime Angus Platinum Benefactors, giving $25,000- $49,999, were: @ Robert and Hollyce Neumeyer of Jaynbee Ranch, Bonners Ferry, Idaho; @ American Live Stock Insurance, Geneva, Ill.; @ Texas Angus Auxiliary; and @ Sysco Newport Meat Co., Irvine, Calif. Recognized as Lifetime Angus Patrons, giving $50,000-$99,999, were: @ Bill and Betty Werner of Werner Angus, Cordova, Ill.; and @ Trans Ova Genetics, Sioux Center, Iowa. Lifetime Angus Builders, recognized for donating $100,000-$249,999, were: @ Wilma Minix of Black Witch Farms, Athens, Ga.; @ Tom and Lois Ames of Spruce Mountain Ranch LLC, Larkspur, Colo.; @ Certifed Angus Beef LLC (CAB), Wooster, Ohio; and @ Dwight "Kip" Palmer of Palmer Foods Service/G&C; Foods, Syracuse, N.Y. Recognized as a Lifetime Angus Leader, donating $250,000-$499,999, was: @ Robert Funk of Express Ranches, Yukon, Okla. Lastly, Thomas and Catherine Chambers of Chambers Angus, Ontario, Ore., were recognized posthumously at the Lifetime Angus Visionary level of giving, having donated $500,000-$999,999 to the Angus Foundation. Comprehensive lists of Lifetime Giving and annual supporters of the Angus Foundation are included in the Angus Foundation's 2014 Annual Report, which was distributed as an insert in the December Angus Journal. In a special presentation through the Angus Foundation's planned giving program, the Angus Legacy Society, Joe and Susanne Bush of J&S; Ranch, Gatesville, Texas, announced the Angus Foundation as the primary charitable benefciary of their estate, formally bequeathing their ranch and other signifcant assets to the Angus Foundation. Proceeds will establish the Joseph and Susanne Bush/J&S; Ranch Scholarship and Junior Activities Endowment Fund, supporting Angus youth undergraduate scholarships and junior activities. To conclude the event, the Angus Foundation auctioned the Building an Angus Legacy! fnal No. 4, limited-edition granite planter. Purchased for $32,000 by Curtis and Ann Long of Briarwood Angus Farms, Butler, Mo., the exquisite engraved planter is beautifully displayed at the entrance of the American Angus Association headquarters building at Saint Joseph, Mo. Doug and Sharon Stevenson of Basin Angus, Joliet, Mont., purchased the fnal wall paver for $8,000. It is also displayed at the entrance.
