A ngus enthusiasts led 233 entries while competing for top honors at the 2014 North American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE) Super-Point Roll of Victory (ROV) Angus Show and National Angus Show Nov. 18 in Louisville, Ky. Chan Phillips and Keith Phillips, both of Maysville, Ky., judged the 191 females, 39 bulls and three cow-calf pairs before selecting the winning animals. HB Patton Superiority 4 claimed grand champion and senior champion bull honors. Patton Farms, Crawfordsville, Ind., owns the March 2012 son of QLC Superior 146Y. EXAR First Advance 5702B won reserve grand champion bull for Express Angus Ranches, Yukon, Okla., and Schnoor Sisters, Chowchilla, Calif. The September 2012 son of Dameron First Class fi rst won reserve senior champion. PVF Blackbird 3071 captured grand champion female honors for Austin Nowatzke, Michigan City, Ind. The March 2013 daughter of Dameron First Class fi rst won junior champion. Austin Nowatzke owns the reserve grand champion female. EXAR Envious Blackbird 7813 is the September 2013 daughter of Dameron First Impression and fi rst claimed senior calf champion. Cherry Knoll Elisha 1146 won grand champion cow-calf pair. Trista Bates, Manhattan, Mont., owns the April 2011 daughter of Leachman Saugahatchee 3000C. A May 2014 heifer calf sired by SSCO Dateline TwentyTen X003 completes the winning pair. Jake Smith, Cullman, Ala., owns the reserve champion cow-calf pair. QVS Georgina 4142 is a February 2012 daughter of SAV Brave 8320. A February 2014 heifer calf sired by SAV Bismarck 5682 is at side. Doug Satree, Montague, Texas, won fi rst-place get-of-sire and fi rst-place junior get-of-sire with progeny of DAJS Shockwave 612. Trista Bates won best six head. A complete list of winners follows.
