On-test report (Oct. 17) The Nebraska Bull Test reported that 85 Angus bulls from 17 consignors were weighed on test Oct. 17 for the start of the 2014-2015 test. Nominations for the test were due Sept. 24, with delivery accepted Oct. 6 for the 120-day test, conducted at Rohde Farms, Mason City, Neb. Interim weights were to be taken Dec. 16, 2014, and Jan. 15, 2015, with final weights scheduled for Feb. 13 and 14. The average weight for the bulls on test was 815 lb. The test sale will be March 25 at Central Nebraska Commission Co., Broken Bow, Neb. For more information contact Mick Phillips, test manager, at 308-764-2378 or Shane Rohde at 308-212-0157. z MCA/MSU Bull Evaluation Program Plank Farm, Crystal, Mich. 28-day report (Nov. 21) The Michigan Cattlemen's Association (MCA) and Michigan State University (MSU) have 108 bulls on test in the 2014-2015 MCA/ MSU Bull Evaluation Program. Consignors must be paid members of the MCA and have their 2015 dues paid in advance. To be eligible for the test, bulls must have been born Sept. 1, 2013-March 31, 2014. All bulls will be evaluated at the MCA/MSU Bull Evaluation Program Station located at Plank Farm, Crystal, Mich.
